Periodical Check Out

Page history last edited by callicottb@... 1 yr ago

Normally, periodicals do not circulate. However, if a patron, especially a faculty member, with a valid library card has a specific reason to check out a periodical -- e.g. to make color copies, show to a class, etc. -- they may do so. This is a judgement call to be made by the reference librarian on duty.

If the librarian decides to circulate a periodical volume or issue, they need to fill out a periodical check out form and place the form in one of the periodical check out envelopes with a bar code. Both the forms and the envelopes should be in a drawer at the reference desk. If there are no forms, download and print out the form attached here.
