Cougar Passwords - Assisting Students
Summer Alert: Students enrolled for just one class in the summer may need to talk to Tracy in order to get access to our computers.
1.The students need to log into Cougar Trail using their CofC ID number and password. They will usually have that information, however, if they are unaware of their ID number they can try their social security number and if they don’t have a password, they can use their birth date for initial login - MMDDYY; no dashes and no spaces. (The Cougar Trail link is available from the College of Charleston homepage.)
2.Once the student successfully logs into Cougar Trail there is a link on the lower right hand side of the first page on Cougar Trail called “Set Your Cougar password”. Once the student clicks on it, they will be taken to a page that tells them they have an e-mail account, gives them their e-mail address, and enables them to set up a password.
3.Following the instructions, they then choose their own password.
4.Once that is completed successfully, students can use their username up to the @ sign and the password they have just chosen to login into the PCs in the library or to access our databases remotely.
